Since 1 January 2014, Hong Kong has become one of the participants of United Kingdom (UK)'s Youth Mobility Scheme. The annual quota for HKSAR passport holders is 1 000. The lottery to allocate places on the Youth Mobility Scheme is administered by the UK Visas and Immigration (UKVI).

According to the announcement published on the UKVI's website, the remaining places after the February ballot will be allocated during the second ballot in July 2025. Hong Kong youths who meet the eligibility criteria and wish to apply for the second ballot of the 2025 should send an email to the specific email address of the UKVI between 12:01am on Tuesday 15 July 2025 to 12:01am on Thursday 17 July 2025 (Hong Kong time).
