The First Ballot for the Hong Kong/United Kingdom Working Holiday Scheme 2026

Since 1 January 2014, Hong Kong has become one of the participants of United Kingdom (UK)'s Youth Mobility Scheme. The annual quota for HKSAR passport holders is 1 000. The lottery to allocate places on the Youth Mobility Scheme is administered by the UK Visas and Immigration (UKVI).

According to the announcement published on the UKVI's website, the first ballot of the 2026 Youth Mobility Scheme opens from 12:01am on Tuesday 10 February 2026 (Hong Kong time) and closes at 12:01am on Thursday 12 February 2026 (Hong Kong time). Hong Kong applicants who meet the eligibility criteria and wish to apply for the first ballot in 2026 should send an email to the specific email address of the UKVI.
