Q: Where do you come from?
A: I was born and raised in Hong Kong.

Q: When did you go on your working holiday?
A: My working holiday started in September 2015 and it was ended in September 2016.

Q: Where did you go for your working holiday and why?
A: I joined a working holiday program in Canada because I have always been attracted to their natural beauty.

Q: What kinds of jobs did you do, and what kinds of courses did you take during your working holiday?
A: I worked as a salesperson in a fashion boutique as well as a call center representative in a travel and concierge company. I also had a free Korean class organized by the Korean Consulate in Canada for three months.

Q: Tell us one of your most unforgettable memories in your working holiday.
A: There are many unforgettable memories to be honest. I was very impressed by how the whole city reacted when their sports teams advanced to the next tier – cars were honking, people were cheering, flags were being waved, which is very different from ours.

Q: What is the greatest reward you have got from your working holiday?
A: In Hong Kong, it is difficult to live independently with high cost of living. Let alone a slow paced life since Hong Kong is all about efficiency. Living in Canada allowed me to experience what it is like to live alone and maintain a work-life balance.

Q: Can you give 3 tips for young people who wish to visit the working holiday destination of your choice?
A:
  1. A thick coat for the cold winter
  2. A pile of your resumes to look for jobs around
  3. Always stay positive even though you encounter obstacles. There is nothing to be afraid of since you have been brave enough to get out of your comfort zone. Enjoy a new journey of your life and no regret!

Q: Is there any extra thing you would like to tell us?
A: /
